Buenos Dias

The work hear is going great we just gained back an old investigator family this week. Los Martinez are from Chile and they stopped taking lessons from us over a month ago. And we also gained another investigator this Sunday. His name is Jose Miguel and he was the first person I taught in Madrid.  He is going to be baptized soon.

Spanish Missionary work out plan.
Eat only twice a day.
Walk 7 hours a day in the sun.
And you'll lose 15 or so pounds in two months.

I love you guys.

BAPTISM IS AWESOME!!!

Me,  Alvaros,  Sayda (Alvaros girlfriend,
she is a member) and Elder Peterson.
Alvaro was baptized on Saturday. He's been an investigator for 6 months and finally made the choice to be baptized. It was nerve wracking to be the person to baptize him. Me, a person who struggles with the language and setting up the service for him. But when we were in the font an overwhelming peace came over me. I don't remember thinking what I need to say it just came out. I only did it once and it was perfect. I asked him what he was feeling afterwards and he said he felt calm. Ever since he said that I have been calm too. A calmness I can only describe as a pure peace.

Elder Peterson gave him the Holy Ghost the next day during Sacrament Meeting.

Funny stories:

After Alvaros baptism we asked him to take the plug out to drain the water. He grabbed the chain  and it broke. Without even thinking he went under and grabbed it. He came out and he said, "I was just baptized twice." I absolutely love him.

An investigator from another ward came for English class then stayed for a noche de hogar. We were playing a game kinda like charades. Everyone wrote down three people on pieces of paper and people went up to act them out. There were two teams and only your team can say what you are doing. The investigator was on my team and I went up there and flat out said I can't read. She then yells Michelle Obama. The paper said Michelle Obama.

Hey Guys!

Not much happened this week. The main thing that happened this week is one our investigators is being baptized this next Saturday !

His name is Alvaro, He´s from the Canary Islands and he is just the happiest guy you´ll meet on the street.

IPads are this Wednesday and FB will be the medium for emails I believe.

Scripture of the Week:

!Hola los pueblo de Los Estados Unidos!

!Hola los pueblo de Los Estados Unidos!

Tengo un nuevo compaƱero. El llame Elder Peterson. Es de Sandy Utah. Elder Schwenke salido a AlcobeƱa la ultimo lunes.

That´s all the Spanish I can do at the moment. It takes too long to think then type. I have worked so hard with my new companion and he does not take breaks. We actually have no minutes on our phone because he called every person on the phone. He asks me, ¨Who´s this Victor?¨ But he doesn´t wait for me to answer, he just calls him anyway and it´s an investigator who was taught two years ago.

We have three people with a baptismal date. We´ve contacted a lot of new investigators. The ward here is amazing. The internet is horrible at the moment. Sorry this will be a little bit shorter than usual.

But I know that my Redeemer lives. I know as we grow our faith, we will see the fruits of our labor. Alma 32:43.
