Adventure is Out There!

Well first things first, I'm leaving Madrid and heading north. I will finish training someone and the area I am transferring to is somewhat new. Not to worry I'm not alone in this adventure, I have Èlder Mackay by my side as we travel the wilderness of Spain.
The city is named Ourense. It is a six hour train ride then one more hour on the bus. From what I hear, there is so much work there. The area is small and has been opened for only a year now. Èlder Peterson, my second trainer, opened it and I'm very excited to meet the people there.
My new companion is Èlder Liptrott. He's from England and he has one of the thickest accents in the mission. I've met him once and couldn't understand a word he said. So we'll most likely be speaking a language we both understand, Spanglish.
That's all I can really say right now. I'm still on the train and don't have much more information than this.

 I love you.

Èlder Broadbent.

Más Bautismales

Gustavo, Amado
I'm so grateful for the 2 baptisms we had this week and for my mission. The person I baptized is from Peru and the Hermanas taught him. When he asked me to baptize I literally was surprised when he said it. But I'm happy to be an instrument for the Lord in any way possible.

Love you all,
Elder Broadbent

Mady says, "When is Trevor coming home? He is taking such a long time!"
They are having birthdays this week. Evie will be 3 and Mady will be 5.

This is a picture of Trevor's animals that his mom sent him. he returned it with the following comment.

¡Martín que estás haciendo!
¡Por favor no come Pavos de Pies!

Tuvimos un gran semana

I have some things to say, first off, I love you and General Conference was amazing. I especially loved the talks from Èlder Ballard y Sister Oscarson. I loved that the majority of the talks were about family and ways we can improve them. I can tell you that God wants our families to be strong because this life was made to be with a family. We can experience a small piece of joy that God has with us right now. Yes we experience sadness, but God does also when we choose not to love him. We show him love through his commandments.

This week we had a story time with members. One of the members named Raul was telling us that when he was flying back to Peru he fell asleep for the entire plane ride. Which was 12 hours. That was funny but then another person named Gustavo who was there began to tell his story. He's also from Peru and has a broken eardrum. He said that he had to chew gum on the same plane ride for 12 straight hours. He then began to act it out and I died of laughter 😂

The Hermanas had a baptism! Her name is Soledad, from Honduras, and has been here in Spain for only four weeks. It was pretty awesome that she decided to have me baptize her, until I heard how she decided. She said she wanted the Elder that can't pronounce his R’s. Then I burst out laughing.
I very content with everything that has happened and will happen. Because I know God is with us where ever we are. We just need to look around.
Next week something big will happen but it's better to wait when to tell you when it happens 😈

Love you,
Èlder Broadbent
