Una semana muy liada

Fuimos por la playa

This was longer week because we adjusted to the travel we had in Madrid. We had interviews with President Pack this week about the meeting we had with Elder David A. Bednar. He asked me, “What was the main thing that stood out to you?”

I told him that the way Elder Bednar was talking to us. It was an open conversation. I felt it was easier to talk and not be as nervous. I feel if we can talk and teach in that same way that God has made for us to talk and teach, we would find that we are on the same level.
This week we got awesome news! We found this family while visiting a less active and they took interest in what we were saying! So we're going to be visiting the family this week to teach the two daughters English! That's the week we had and next week will be transfers so we'll see what happens next.

Love you so much.

Madrid and Elder Bednar

This whole week was crazy. Èlder Liptrott and I were in our area for maybe two days this whole week. Between traveling to neighboring cities every day and taking a plane to Madrid this week was stressing.

But it was all worth it. We were able to meet Èlder Bednar and talk with him. The first thing he said was not to take notes about anything he said. But to take notes on what the spirit was telling us. As the meeting went on he was taking questions from us. One of the elders asked him how to better put ourselves in line with the will of God. As he was speaking he said something that he said caught my attention. He said in order to put you in the will of God, get yourself out of the way.

I then thought to myself, “Why am I in God's way?” I then started listing things I need to improve or drop completely. After I did that, I began to think about what am I doing that is allowing me to follow Him.

I invite you all to do the same. Think of things you can do better and things you are doing well to follow the Savior more in your life.

I love you all,

Èlder Broadbent.

Important information that you should all pay attention to.

¡Feliz día de la Madre!

Sorry that Trevor’s mom is a slacker and is just barely getting this up.

¡Feliz día de la Madre! Here in Spain we've already had our Mother's Day but everyday we should celebrate Mother's Day.

Well I'm a little under the weather now. I caught a head cold for the last four days. And not to mention a new area makes it a little harder to stay cool-headed. But my new companion Elder Liptrott has made it easier. He only has three months in the mission right now. He's from England, Manchester and is struggling with his Spanish. He's not afraid to make mistakes and that is a sign of someone who wants to share the gospel.

We received some news the 14 we'll be seeing Èlder Bednar in person! He wants to talk to us as a mission and if we're lucky we can ask him questions or participate in practices with him. Well not much happened other than that. Next week will be a little exciting.

Love you guys,
Elder Broadbent
