Este carta es muy guay, Os amo muchísimo

  Well we had transfers and Èlder Liptrott left to serve in Madrid and I've gained Èlder Jones. Elder Jones is from Arizona and has only 5 months on the mission. But he speaks the language very well because his mom is actually from Spain. We've been working hard since day one and found someone to teach and he seems ready to hear the gospel  and our branch president has two families for us to teach in the coming weeks. I love being a missionary and I love teaching about how we can live with an eternal peace in this world we live in.

     I'm not going to lie I've been sick for the last three days with a bad crooping cough. But luckily we have a member family who we've designated as the mom and dad of the missionaries here in Ourense. The mom heard me coughing one day and bought me medicine the next day. So, no need to worry about me getting sick with this family here. This simple act made me love this family more than I already did. When we do things out of love we'll see the charity that Moroni and Paul teach us. So I want you this week to act on prompting that you'll receive this week to show a simple act of love.

The city of Ourense is now in full swing with festival now. Absolutely
no one in the street and not a single store is open. The only things
open here are bars and smoke shops, But we enjoy it still.

I was thinking of a talk that I've read this week. It is Broken Vessel, by Èlder Holland. This talk hit me and told me that in moments of difficulty there is always a way to happiness still.

Historias buenas y una historia demasiada Buena

   

   We were with a member family this Saturday eating lunch with them. We then proceeded to have a lesson afterwards about faith is what drives us to keep the commandments. We asked them, “Why does God give us commandments?” Maria the mom then answered. “He gives us commandments to strengthen the desire to gain faith,” which was a very good thought, then she went into using the faith of others.  As she continued talking she went into worthiness, still good a very good thought. She then went on about priesthood blessings, wow she's very good at summarizing and adding more. Then she said, "Cuando pido por una bendición de sacerdocio, siempre pido que un misionero lo hace. Porque ustedes son más puros que los hombres casados. Ustedes están cumpliendo todos los mandamientos del señor mientras los hombres no cumplen los mandamientos." (Google translate) "When I ask for a blessing of the priesthood, always I ask a missionary makes it. Because you are more pure than married men. "You are fulfilling all the commandments of the Lord while those men not meet them commandments."  Her husband then said, "¡Gracias!"

    This week we've seen many blessings. While we were walking down the street we saw a member that hasn't been at church for a long time. We talked and then we went to a cafe to have a coke with her. When we got there she saw one of her friends who wanted to talk with us. Her name is Vivian and we have another time set up to see her. As we were leaving this cafe one of the families we're teaching came in and said they have some friends that want to hear us also. We met this family last Friday and they are prepared to listen to the restored gospel. Their names are Paco, Cristina, and their fat six month daughter Cristina.

     But this week was amazing and I have nothing else to say but I know that the spirit of God is here with us. I love these people so much and I don't want to leave. But wherever we are God will bless us with the happiness that comes according to our faith in him.
