Willingness of heart.

Well this was a tiring week. We were sick the last Wednesday all the way to today. Why were we sick? Because our district leader came over and gave us the flu. We're up and running now but we have a horrible cough now and the members always ask us, "¡Estáis bien, tenéis que tomar limón con miel!" Other than that we had something huge happen.

We stormed another castle!
A member that has not come to church in over three years is coming and listening to us again. He came yesterday to church and we were able to visit him last night. He desires to have the gospel in his life again and that his family will follow to. So I ask you if you could keep him in your prayers. His name is Fran and the family's name is Montes.

Oh it is true that the mission is difficult but us missionaries need to get use to it. A member once told me that a mission call never ends. Because when it does end we do not have the spirit. I definitely believe that's true. Life after the mission is going to be harder. Here we have the perfect schedule and the least amount of distractions possible too. But when we came back all those filters, schedules, and constant hard work goes aways. So after we need to strive even harder because life is harder after the mission. So I'm not afraid of disappointment here now. I'm lying if I'm fearless of what may happen after but we have the promise in DC64:30-34. Willingness to continue in good works is what the lord requires us to do to keep the spirit.

I love you all and wish that you may continue in good works.

Mosiah 24

So we had it hard this week. Not many wanted to talk to us this week. Well the last three weeks in general were difficult in terms of finding people to teach. But the greatest thing is the lord blesses us in the hard times. That's where Mosiah 24 comes into our lives. Even though we continue to do good and follow the commandments we are at times shut down, discouraged, mocked, and at times hated by others. I can't describe how frustrating it is when you complete with what you've been asked and there's no recompense. That's when returning to the scriptures and kneeling down in humble prayer makes it all worth the while. With this humility and knowledge that it is better to obey a command rather than wither away by outside forces. Like Nephi, I will go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded, for I know that the Lord giveth no commandments unto the children of men, save he shall prepare a way for them that they may accomplish the thing which he commandeth them.

As a mission we've been given a commandment to contact 25 people a day. Sounds simple but very hard when you go days without a single conversation or at times very rude actions by others. We were able to find two people within the space of two weeks that want to hear us. One(Mari) has a baptismal date set in October and the other(Ines) is reading the Book of Mormon every day now.

I know that when we follow through with the ways of the Lord no matter how much time it takes we'll end up with less afflictions than we had beforehand. I love you and wish you the best week possible.
