So we
had it hard this week. Not many wanted to talk to us this week. Well the last
three weeks in general were difficult in terms of finding people to teach. But
the greatest thing is the lord blesses us in the hard times. That's where
Mosiah 24 comes into our lives. Even though we continue to do good and follow
the commandments we are at times shut down, discouraged, mocked, and at times
hated by others. I can't describe how frustrating it is when you complete with
what you've been asked and there's no recompense. That's when returning to the
scriptures and kneeling down in humble prayer makes it all worth the while.
With this humility and knowledge that it is better to obey a command rather
than wither away by outside forces. Like Nephi, I will go and do the things
which the Lord hath commanded, for I know that the Lord giveth no commandments
unto the children of men, save he shall prepare a way for them that they may
accomplish the thing which he commandeth them.
As a mission we've been given a
commandment to contact 25 people a day. Sounds simple but very hard when you go
days without a single conversation or at times very rude actions by others. We
were able to find two people within the space of two weeks that want to hear
us. One(Mari)
has a baptismal date set in October and the other(Ines) is reading the Book of
Mormon every day now.

Love
Èlder Broadbent.
