Well I'm leaving
Ourense now. I'm going to be in a city on the opposite side of Galicia. It's
named Ponferrada and my new companion is Èlder O'Boyle. I'm writing this on the
train heading into Lèon. The last of Ourense was a hard battle but we won major
victories this last six months. We finally were able to bring an investigator
to church for the first time in eight months here in this branch. Her name is
Mari and fell in love with Èlder Eyrings talk on Sunday morning. She has a
baptismal date set for the 29 of October so I ask to continue praying that
she'll receive an answer by then.
Ponferrada is the been
the smallest area in terms of active members. It's also the smallest town I've
been in with maybe 60,000 people. Elder O'Boyle from a ward in Greenville South
Carolina but his parents are from New Jersey. He's been on the mission for 16
months now.
This week we as a
branch made desserts from our perspective countries. Well we made a lemon pie.
Not sure if that's American or not. But interesting first week. We passed out
six Books of Mormon and gained a new person to teach already. I've also been
very sick for the last two days. Yeah it blows. I love you all.
Èlder Broadbent.
