Sorry
about the skype thing. I wasn´t much of a talker. It´s like you said, I had so
much to say but when the time came I couldn´t remember anything. That´s
sometimes how it is when you are teaching someone but somehow you always say
something of worth to the person. I have so many pictures I want to send you
guys but the computers here don´t like American cameras.
The
one thing I want to send you pictures of are of my companion, the members, and
the sites of the Spain. We went to the Grand Palace and Elder Schwenke asked
how much money it took to build it and I´m wondering how long it took to build
it. It is huge and wouldn´t surprise me if it´s the size the whole grounds of
USU.
We
have a new family to teach and it is a family of five from Chile. They have a
family friend who is a member and have always liked her. After we taught them
the mom said this is what this family has been missing. She went and basically
bore her testimony of Jesus Christ and said she wants us to come and teach her
and her family again. One of the sons was taking classes to be baptized in the
Catholic Church and was to be baptized this week. He then said he had a feeling
to hold up his baptism date until we came and taught. He said he will start
taking lessons from us to wee what we have to offer.
My
testimony is growing both in knowledge and in the language. This is a great and
marvelous work. Reminds of the Old Testament when Moses is shown the burning
bush and Moses denies that he can do it and god chose the wrong man. I felt
like Moses for the past two months, the work is too great for a man like me. I
am afraid to speak to others because the language and I have not enough faith
in my abilities to teach. Yet god tells Moses He will work his wonders through
him.
Yo
sé mi Salvador vive. Yo sé el Libro de Mormón es la palabra de Dios. Yo sé el
evangelio resturado he bendicó mi vida.
Con
amor

(Translation by someone who
actually speaks Spanish, not Google)
I know that my Savior lives. I
know the Book of Mormon is the Word of God. I know the Restored Gospel has
blessed my life.
With love,
Elder Broadbent
