Ups and Downs

So, this week was a roller coaster. We had to go into Leon two times this week: first time for district meeting (oh and I forgot to tell you guys that I am the new district leader here) the second time was for a baptismal interview. His name is Khalifa and he will be baptized this upcoming 30th of January. He is from Africa from Mali and he said some pretty funny stuff during the interview. He didn't speak Spanish so we had to do a form of French and Spanish and his native tongue. I will remember that interview for the rest of my life.

So far as the week goes we saw many miracles this week. We were able to meet with our investigators and they are progressing pretty well now. Still having problems coming to church but we have hope with one of them in particular. His name is Nacho. He wants to come to church and we'll give him a tour of the church tomorrow. As far as the ward members, they are doing good with our new Christmas Initiative. Have you guys seen the new Christmas video? If not I recommend it. And to follow the "25 Days, 25 Ways".

This last Sunday was a little hectic. We taught the word of wisdom to one of our investigators that wants to quit smoking with our branch president so that's a really good thumbs up. Then after we went to go visit a member. But we ran into something different and a little frightening. The member’s dad had major health problems at that moment and she was not able to meet with us. So, if you could keep her in your prayers that would be awesome. Her name is Rosanna.

That’s our week I love you.

Èlder Broadbent.
